ManTech Technical Lead - Video Engineering in Herndon, Virginia

ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Technical Lead - Video Engineering to join our team for a program that supports a variety of customer IT requirements with a focus on providing productive and collaborative workspace to support dynamic mission requirements.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs a variety of complex network engineering tasks of an analysis, design, or test nature requiring strong technical skills.

  • Design, develop and implement technical solutions in line with project requirements and organizational goals.

  • Plans research and development, or installation of products and systems in conformance with network engineering design and customer specification.

  • Ensure best practices in engineering processes, coding standards, and testing protocols.

  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, implementing innovative solutions where appropriate.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, and reports.

  • Solves engineering challenges by analyzing possible solutions using experience, judgment, and following industry best practice in adherence with customer policies.

  • Lead or participate in the following activities:

  • Design Review Boards

  • Technical code reviews

  • Engineering Services and Implementation Support

  • Network Engineering Designs

  • Network Engineering Template Development

  • Network Implementation Standard Operations Procedures

  • Project Estimation

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ability to build and maintain constructive relationships among customers, stakeholders, technical teams, across the customer base.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

  • Ability to assess customer needs, meet quality standards for services, and evaluate customer satisfaction.

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.

  • Proficiency in many aspects of information technology.

  • Exceptional customer service skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office product suite.

  • Willingness to travel in the WMA as needed.

  • BA/BS and five (5) years of experience, or a combination of education and work experience equivalent to 10 years.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

  • Ten (10) years’ experience directly related to Network Engineering design, delivery, and management of the customer’s operational environment.

  • Proven experience in a technical lead or senior engineering role.

  • Strong expertise in relevant programming languages, frameworks, and tools.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to technical challenges.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management principles.

  • Relevant certifications in technical and managerial skills are a plus.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Active and current TS/SCI with polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Must be able to move/traverse within and between buildings and offices.

  • Must be able to position self to maintain computers, including under the desks and in the server closet.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • Must be able to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers; must be able to exchange accurate information.

  • Resolving technical problems and answering queries by telephone or self-service that involve computer hardware, software, network, system/application access, and telecommunications systems.
