Job Description:
Accenture Federal Services is seeking an experienced Technical Documentation Specialist who wants to support a critical National Security Mission. In this role you will partner with our cyber engineering and development team to generate and maintain engineering and developer-focused technical documentation. Both AFS and our customer strongly believe that documentation is a key part of the product development process to enable successful execution. You will also engage directly with users to understand how they use our capabilities, identify gaps in understanding, and use clearly designed documentation to empower users. You will play a foundational role in setting the tone and quality bar on written artifacts.
The team works to develop, evaluate, and test unique cyber capabilities and solutions for our government customer. We value the ability to apply software development best practices to documentation systems and are looking for someone who can bridge the two skills. You’ll immerse yourself in mastering knowledge of Cyber program technical tools from a user’s perspective in order to create and maintain robust and comprehensive technical documentation products for end-users
Responsibilities:
Generate, review, and edit documentation, that is user-focused and of the highest quality.
Work with our developers to deliver documentation that not only informs and instructs but meets the evolving needs and specs of our client.
Work with Technical Trainers and CNO Developers to align learning with tool enhancements throughout the delivery process as directed by Program and Technical Leadership.
Work with Technical Trainers and CNO Developers to design comprehensive Cyber training curriculum, to include lesson plans, user guides, immersive labs, mock tools, analytic packages, and presentation materials in direct support of cyber tool deliverables.
Create and maintain robust and comprehensive technical documentation products for end-users and take a leading role creating a process for updating technical documentation.
Participate in technical exchange meetings with the end Customer, Accenture Federal Services, and subcontractors.
Support meetings, operations, and other activities at designated Contractor, end Customer, or AFS facilities, as requested.
Here's what you need:
Minimum 2 years' experience writing technical documentation in support of cyber capability development.
Minimum 2 years' experience reading and interpreting software and hardware user documentation, complex technical products, and highly structured processes
Basic to advanced software development proficiency
The ability to thrive with a high level of autonomy and responsibility, managing competing demands and occasional tight deadlines
Must possess and be able to maintain a U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security clearance
Bonus points if you have:
Prior experience with military or government cyber operations support.
Flexibility to work weekends and extended hours.
Experience using, evaluating, and implementing modern software and automation tools to help manage high volume technical writing requirements.
Security Clearance:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance required
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia . The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia is:
$94,600—$189,800 USD
