ManTech is seeking a talented Software Engineer for Herndon, VA on a key government contract. This program will deliver engineering services for network infrastructure as well as sophisticated enterprise computing infrastructure including end-point devices, data center hosted servers, multi-Cloud services as well as virtualized applications, and storage systems. Enterprise Computing Engineering services include modern application technology including containerized solutions with orchestrated workflow that function both on customer premise, and via remote Cloud services. Network infrastructure engineering services are comprised of core infrastructure, voice and video engineering, field engineering, application management and development for networks, network analytics, firewalls, network access controls and bandwidth service delivery.

Duties, Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Utilize modern application technology including containerized solutions with orchestrated workflow that function both on customer premise, and via remote Cloud services.

• Be part of a team that will deliver engineering services for network infrastructure as well as sophisticated enterprise computing infrastructure including end-point devices, data center hosted servers, multi-Cloud services as well as virtualized applications, and storage systems.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in a relevant Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineer field or similar

• 3+ years relevant software engineering/programming experience

• Eclipse developmental duties Git Hub, Dev Ops, Java and Python.

• Experience in security review of applications and infrastructure.

• 2+ Years' experience participating in agile activities.

• 3+ years of recent Java or Python experience

• Experience researching new technologies in object-oriented programming.

• Experience in Cloud based services.

• Works well in an engineering team environment with other teammates who varied skills levels.

• Ability to mentor others

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with infrastructure automation technologies like Docker, Vagrant, etc.

• Experience with build automation technologies like Maven, Jenkins, etc.

• Experience with building APIs and services using REST, SOAP, etc

• Experience with scripting languages like Perl, Shell, etc.

Security Clearance Required

• An active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

• Use hands to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.

• Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

• Constantly position self to maintain computers in the lab, including under desks and in server closets.
