Description:

• Ability to work cross-functionally with excellent Communication, Partnership Coordination, Conflict & Problem Management Skills:

o You are expected to interact with colleagues such as: Model owners, Model users, 2nd Line, Data owners, Risk managers and Technology teams.

o This is an oversight role, ability to tactfully manage governance processes, while still enforcing controls and standards is required.

• Manage Model Risk Governance:

o Assess model risk, understand regulatory policy/procedures, recognize risk limits, facilitate activities to ensure requirements are being met.

o Update Controls documentation and frameworks for Traders, or Model developers.

o Set standards, partner with Traders, Model owners, Model Developers to explain adherence procedures.

o Track/Manage if model users/owners are non-compliant.

o Create job aids and other necessary documentation for Model users, developers, and owners.

o Document corporate procedures & standards.

• Interact with Regulatory Affairs to ensure:

o All governance is in place & being met.

o Documentation is available and controls are understood by Model owners, Model Developers, Traders, etc.

• Experience with one of the two is desired: 2nd Line Model Validation experience (MRM) is preferred, not required (or) Models used by Traders (CapMkts)

o This role requires assessment of documentation, analyze for accuracy, and complete Governance activities.

o After Governance activities are completed, documentation is sent to separate 2nd line (MRM) group for review.

• This team uses Tableau and Excel for dashboards & reporting – Tableau is not required.

• Model performance tracking of performance breaches, escalations, controls metrics, issues/findings, severity-level.

• The models this person will govern include – Allowance, Risk Limits, Loss Forecasting, Models used by Financial Traders.
