Description We are looking for survey technician who is interested in survey field work. You will be responsible for assisting with the planning and organizing of survey field activities to be done timely, accurately and in a profitable manner. Survey work to include construction staking, boundary location, ALTA, and topography for various project types. Responsible for documentation of all phases of survey work completed. Performs field assignments for average to complex land surveying scopes of work including construction staking, boundary location, ALTA, and topography for various project types. Collects and processes field measurements and data for engineering and surveying projects. Operates survey instruments (i.e. Total Stations, Data Collector, levels and GPS equipment) and resolves operation issues. Performs construction staking. Researches existing survey and engineering records, interprets plans and correctly stakes surveying and engineering records. Responsible for organizing and transferring files between data collectors and internal project folders in a timely manner. Travels frequently to work site and other project related locations. Responsible for maintaining company vehicle and company equipment in a clean, professional manner. What We Are Looking For: Associate's Degree in Land Surveying Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field from an accredited post-secondary institution OR equivalent training or experience. 3 years of related survey experience Ability to perform tasks and solve problems with a high degree of independence. Excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills. Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable at the Firm's standard rates. A motor vehicle record (MVR) check is a standard condition of employment. Physical Requirements: Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments Ability to carry survey equipment and supplies in remote, rural, or urban surroundings.
