Overview
Publicis Sapient is looking for highly motivated and eager-to-learn Senior Java Software Engineer to join our team of bright thinkers and doers. You’ll use your problem-solving creativity to design, architect, and develop high-end technology solutions that solve our clients’ most complex and challenging problems across different industries. We are on a mission to transform the world, and you will be instrumental in shaping how we do it with your ideas, thoughts, and solutions.
By joining our team you will be responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing omni-platform microservice applications. You will ensure best practices are followed throughout the implementation lifecycle and help construct framework sets for use by the team and other business stakeholders to power both digital and associate-facing platforms.
Responsibilities
Your Impact:
Design and develop applications built using the Spring Boot framework.
Collaborate with Agile product teams, coordinating with Scrum Masters, customer experience stakeholders, and the testing team.
Ensure best practices in development, testing, and deployment processes.
Implement microservices architecture, delivering scalable and robust solutions.
Qualifications
Your Skills and Experience:
Programming Languages: Java 11 / OpenJDK.
Integration Patterns: REST APIs (OpenAPI 3.0), Messages/Events (Azure Service Bus, Azure Events, and/or Kafka), Orchestration (Zeebe).
Microservices Stack: Spring Boot 2.3, Docker, Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS).
Persistence: Azure, MongoDB Atlas, Redis.
Cross-Cutting Concerns: Logback, Istio, Spring DevTools, etc.
Authentication: Azure Active Directory B2C, OpenID Connect, PKCE.
Unit Testing: JUnit/Mockito.
Functional Testing: Karate Testing / Karate Mocks.
Performance Testing: Gatling.
CICD: Azure DevOps Services (Repos, pipelines), SonarSource (security), JFrog (artifact management).
Observability Platform: Dynatrace (APM, RUM, Log management).
Experience with Agile methodologies and working in a cross-functional team environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
Additional information
This position is primarily remote but requires openness to travel for client workshops. Candidates must be available to travel to Dallas once per quarter for one week and attend workshops at our Sabana office in Costa Rica when the U.S. team visits, also once per quarter for one week.
