Job Overview

Responsibilities include managing a team of engineers and technicians dedicated to expanding the capability of our best-in-class operations. The Manager is responsible for the selection and correct operation of manufacturing equipment and process for the site.

Responsibility Includes the Following Tasks

• Assure compliance with appropriate Environmental, Health and Safety practices. Safe element owner.

• Troubleshoot technical issues to determine root cause of malfunction.

• Apply corrective repair to resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, or PLC related issues.

• Lead TPM implementation and sustained trough the time.

• Direct and coordinate duties for contractors.

• Support and adhere to facility and security procedures/protocols.

• Manage projects including new equipment, process improvements and cost reductions as well as new product introduction support.

• Provide justifications, implementation, and capital validation of new equipment.

• Review site capabilities of new and existing products.

• Ensure implementation and sustainment of reliable and repeatable processes that meet safety, quality, yield, and cost objectives.

• Improve efficiency towards process flow optimization, equipment performance and manufacturing best practices.

• Ensure utilization of engineering principles and rigor to solve complex process and design challenges.

• Establish project priorities, effective management of resources to meet business objectives and monitor progress.

• Participate in the development, modification, and execution of department policies.

• Keeps abreast of the latest processes, technology, and industry trends.

• Ensures budgets, planning and quality requirements are met.

• Determines staffing needs, discipline, and completions by reviewing attendance and performance records.

• Ensures quality of services meets internal and external customer requirements.

• Ensures employee compliance with company policies and practices.

• All other duties as assigned.

• Support all the engineering, NPIs, NPDs and Transfer, activities.

• Support technical conversations with customers and vendors.

• High sense of urgency and customer service oriented.

• Proficient computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project)

• Proficient English speaking, reading, and writing.

Experience

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Manufacturing environment with a strong emphasis on engineering and maintenance, with focus on process and equipment (medical device industry preferred).

• Minimum 5 years demonstrable experience as a supervisor/manager in a high-tech manufacturing environment.

• Desirable with working knowledge of mechanical design, clean rooms, Servo motors AC/DC, metrology, machine controls., grinding, molding, extrusion.

• Experience with DFM, Lean/Six Sigma principles.

Education

• MBA, bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, electromechanical, electronic or Maintenance is preferred).
