Job Title: Cook I

Job Description

Accurately and efficiently prepare portion cooking for patients and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, special/catered events, and grill.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items for various meal periods.

• Ensure food is prepared according to dietary restrictions and recipes.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.

• Follow instructions and collaborate respectfully with peers.

• Assist in the preparation for special and catered events.

Essential Skills

• Experience in line cooking and food preparation.

• Ability to follow dietary restrictions and read recipes.

• Strong food-service and hospitality skills.

• Food handlers card required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be respectful and able to follow instructions.

Work Environment

You will be working in a hospital environment, with a schedule of 40 hours per week from 10 am-6:30 pm. Availability to work weekends is required. The schedule alternates, with some weekends off and some weekdays off.

This is a Contract position based out of Henderson, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $14.92 - $14.92
