Job Title: Forklift Shipping Lead

Job Description

  • Preparation of shipping documents (truck orders, labels, kanbans and packing slips) for all customers.

  • Overseeing a team of 6 people on 2nd shift - primarily verifying trucks get loaded and shipped properly.

  • Balance work between shifts for shipping on staging of trucks (average on 2nd shift is 5 trucks per night).

  • Update customer contact list.

  • Maintains documentation of reports and keying in of shippers and manifests.

  • Keys in information for ASN’s to customer and assist with accounting issues concerning ASN’s.

  • Order parts from satellite plants.

  • Key in receipts of raw materials, unload, and stage.

  • Scan documents for customer shipments.

  • Maintain supplier fields.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Shift:

2nd shift: 4:30pm - 1:00 am Monday - Friday - overtime may be required as needed, anticipating about 50 hours per week on average.

Shift differential is $0.75 and team lead incentive is $1.25 - this will be on their rate offered.

Hard Skills

  • Operating sit down propane forklift

  • Preparation of shipping documents

  • Good computer skills (AS 400 for WMS and inventory management, Excel, Word)

  • Basic math skills

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication skills with internal customers and external customers & suppliers

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Henderson, Tennessee.

Work Environment

Temperature controlled manufacturing plant, somewhat loud at times due to press and welding equipment. It is air conditioned although due to the nature of the manufacturing they perform it can still be 80 - 100 degrees during the summer at times, especially near the welding machines. They have presses, robotics, welding robots, weld shop, die maintenance shop, and maintenance shop. Sit down forklift equipment in plant as well.

*Please note that this position will be on the dock and temps may vary with dock doors opening.

Dress code/Attire: Required steel toe boots, long pants, and t-shirts (no profane language or pictures). Kevlar jackets supplied by clients for safety and eye protection.
