POSITION:Laboratory Intern
SCHEDULE: Internship, Part Time, Up to 25 hours weekly between Monday and Thursday, 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
LOCATION:Henderson, NV 89015
SALARY:$16.00 - $20.00 hourly (based on education level)

SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, performs routine to moderately difficult laboratory procedures to support water quality laboratory functions; cleans, decontaminates and sterilizes glassware and equipment; prepares media and reagents; assists in the laboratory's quality assurance program; and performs related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- The successful candidate will be required to pass a drug screening and a background check.
- The ideal candidate for this position is a current college student enrolled in an undergraduate degree program related to Life and/or Environmental Sciences.
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Environmental Sciences or a closely related field
- Current enrollment with a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester (undergraduate level) or 3 credit hours per semester (graduate level)
- Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
- Available to work up to 25 hours weekly
- A valid Nevada driver's license
- Legal right to work in the US, including authorization to work off-campus
