We are excited to open a new opportunity for Embedded Software Engineer LVL II seeking to gain experience in Embedded Systems!

The Software engineer Level II is responsible for supporting embedded board bring up, designing, coding, and testing embedded systems related functionality for Vadatech electronic products.

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE AT LEASE 3-7 years SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE IN EMBEDDED PRODUCTS TO QUALIFY

Essential Functions

  • Works closely with multi-functional teams to produce software solutions to include overall product requirements and design

  • Responsible for software development activities involving board bringing up and meeting product requirements

  • Provide support for hardware engineers on troubleshooting NPI board issues

  • Responsible for the support, maintenance, and documentation of product software functionality

  • Produce and review functional specifications and design documents

  • Support and maintain developed code and enhancements

  • Responsible for working with the customer support team to troubleshoot and resolve product-reported issues

  • Responsible for contributing to the development of internal tools to streamline development activities

Requirements

Qualification and Skills

  • bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or computer science engineering

  • 3-7 years of work experience in embedded systems

  • Proficiency in C, embedded OS, and embedded platforms

  • Experience with software development for hardware peripherals such as I2C, SPI, PCIe, UART, Ethernet ..etc

  • Experience with reading and understanding board-level schematics

  • Experience with new/untested hardware board bring-up required

  • Demonstrated ability to use lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and JTAG probes to resolve problems required.

  • Competency with creating engineering and user documentation expected

  • Ability to move around the facility, climbing stairs as necessary, bending down and reaching up

  • Constantly operates a computer and other standard office equipment such as phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines

  • Ability to handle and lift objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Alone, the ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. in a two-person lift
