Our growing compounding/plastics client, in Henderson, KY is seeking a Plastics Manufacturing Purchaser (Entry-Level/Recent Graduate)

Nylene is seeking a motivated Manufacturing Buyer to support our Corporate Finance team with local Accounts Payable duties at our site. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is analytical, well-organized, and possesses strong communication skills to jumpstart their career in the plastics industry.

Job Title: Plastics Manufacturing Buyer - College Grad

Location: Henderson, KY

Pay Range: $28.00/hr

Day Shift

What’s the Job?

  • (Main Duties) Buyer:

  • Purchase materials, equipment, and supplies for a plastics production facility.

  • Coordinate with manufacturing and maintenance departments to establish lead times for stock in accordance with the production schedule.

  • Prepare bid requests and reviews supply quotations.

  • Negotiate with MRO suppliers to obtain cost reductions for services and suppliers.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to schedule and arrange the delivery of supplies.

  • Communicate item availability, order changes, and delays to internal departments.

  • Create and send purchase orders to suppliers.

  • Approve invoices for payment.

  • (Backup Duties) Accounts Payable:

  • Receive invoices from suppliers.

  • Conduct a three-way match, invoice, purchase order and bill-of-lading.

  • Approve invoices for payment.

  • Scan approved invoice into computer system so Corporate can pay the invoice.

  • Prepare checks using computer system for local MRO payments.

  • Organizational Skills : Well-organized and capable of managing paperwork efficiently.

  • Communication Skills : Excellent communication skills to coordinate with suppliers and internal departments.
