Purpose of the Position:

The Mechanical Engineer will design, analyze, and optimize mechanical components and systems used in solar energy products production. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, CAD design, and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for solar energy products, including solar panels, mounting structures, trackers, and balance of system (BOS) components.
  • Perform engineering analysis and simulations to validate design concepts, optimize performance, and ensure compliance with technical specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and quality assurance, to translate design requirements into manufacturable products.
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) to create detailed 3D models, drawings, and specifications for mechanical parts and assemblies.
  • Generate engineering documentation, including bill of materials (BOM), design documentation, test plans, and technical reports, to support product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing teams, resolving design-related issues, implementing process improvements, and optimizing production workflows.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in mechanical engineering, participating in professional development activities and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Work Hours:

  • Standard Hours (Monday -- Friday, 8am-5pm)
  • Managing a 24/7 plant structure, so occasional support when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field

3+ years of manufacturing experience
