Position Summary:

This role is responsible for the oversight, development and performance of all IES warehouse distribution centre activities, trunk stock inventories and reverse logistics activities in EMEA

Main Activities / Responsibilities

  • Lead a distributed team of Logistics Specialists ensuring departmental goals are achieved, supporting the training and development needs of subordinates, applying the company’s performance and development system (i.e. PMD)

  • Develop, implement and maintain distribution policies, procedures (SOPs) and quality controls with internal and external partners

  • Establish and develop operational KPI’s, ensuring alignment with departmental and company goals

  • Participate in the construction of 3PL contractual terms, supervise 3PL performances to agreed service levels and lead non-conformance resolution activities

  • Develop physical inventory management policies and procedures for stock handling (Field and warehouse) and count activities, working with stakeholder groups to obligations are fulfilled

  • Ensure EDI data flows between SAP and 3PL systems and are supervised and any issues resolved.

  • Lead distribution process innovation, development and optimization activities with partners to support business needs, leveraging PPI methodology

  • Support the development and adherence to departmental AOP spend. Monitor logistical spend performance and deliver RCCM for any missed targets

  • Lead/participate in tiered accountability meetings, representing area of responsibility

  • Lead MBR/QBR meetings partners

  • Travel expectation 0 -15%

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in supply chain or related discipline.

  • 5-10 years of experience in supply chain management with proven experience leading compliance activities in a multi-national company.

  • ERP and WMS usage (SAP, JDA, Manhattan)

  • Must be able to bring strategy to action and drive implementation of multiple programs across a regional network.

  • Must have experience with direct supervision of activities within supply chain

  • Ability to harmonize with other departments, communicate at a leadership level and to develop and deploy training or policies quickly.

  • Must possess confirmed judgment and the ability to work autonomously from established goals and strategic direction.

  • Ability to cope with multiple priorities and ambiguity.

  • Able to navigate a highly-complex, fast-paced, matrix organization.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the desire to learn and use PPI to improve the process.
