Material Handler

Job Description

We are currently seeking two Material Handlers for our 2nd shift. These positions will start in either the sheet metal bay or the bar bay, depending on current needs. This role involves a combination of order selecting, maneuvering materials, loading trucks, and using forklifts and overhead cranes. Candidates should be prepared for training and certification in various equipment and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Order selecting using high reach/side loader forklift and sit down forklift

• Sorting and banding material once picked

• Operating overhead crane as needed

• Loading trucks with materials

• Lifting up to 55 lbs independently; team lift or forklift for heavier items

• Participating in classroom and hands-on training sessions

• Maintaining safety and core values in all tasks

Essential Skills

• Experience operating sit-down forklifts

• Experience using overhead cranes

• Order pulling and selection skills

• Material handling abilities

• Banding metals

SHIFT

The 2nd shift runs from 3 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with the busiest times requiring 52-55 hours weekly.

The 3rd shift operates from 11 PM to 7:30 AM, Sunday to Thursday, typically requiring 45-50 hours weekly.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hellam, Pennsylvania

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
