Hourly Rate – $18.50

Purpose:

Responsible for handling the complex duties that require more training and skills than lower-level positions within the department as well as being the subject matter expert on all tasks within the Third-Party Liability Unit. Activities involve maintaining contracted service levels resulting in customer satisfaction, maintaining relationships with the client, providers, carriers, etc. all while managing all associated workflows.

Scope:

•Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.

•Requires in-depth knowledge and experience – Medicaid, TPL, Commercial Insurance (helpful).

•Decisions are guided by policies and procedures; receives guidance from TPL Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provides administrative/clerical support to business operations by performing processing tasks such as data entry, processing checks, working credit balance, New Discovery, accessing and updating Chimes, working in FlexRx, Retro Medicare, Carrier Billing, Trauma letters, and Refund requests.

• Performs data entry of material from source documents to a computer database.

• Ensures accuracy and completeness of data/assigned work.

• Handle multiple assignments.

• Maintain a high level of confidentiality, informational accuracy, and production.

• Must be able to work under strict deadlines.

• Perform duties related to TRACS (TPL Recovery and Claims System)

• Receives and distributes daily mail and deposit preparation tasks.

• Assists Manager by coordinating work assignments daily.

• Assists in the maintenance of Desk Level Procedures

• Provides leadership and focus in areas of expertise.

• Contributes towards the development and maintenance of procedures.

• Prepares needed reports.

• Provides constant feedback to direct management in regard to problems, daily activities, departmental status, etc.

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years Third Party Liability experience

• HS Diploma or GED

Preferred Skillset/experience

• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite

• Medicaid experience, Commercial Insurance experience helpful

• Customer focused

• Ability to multitask and solve complex problems

• Ability to write/speak concisely

• Experience driving process documentation and continuous process improvements

• Must be able to work extra hours and be flexible in schedule to accommodate work deadlines

• College is preferred
