St. Peters Health Ortho Clinic Supervisor - 1.0 FTE in Helena, Montana

The Supervisor of SPHMG Orthopaedic Clinic is responsible for daily clinical operations, supervision of all clinical and patient access personnel and the provision of a safe, caring environment for patient/family and staff, which fosters professional nursing practice, shared decision-making, interdisciplinary teamwork and collaboration resulting in positive patient and staff outcomes. They consult, advise, and assist the Practice Administrator in strategic direction for SPHMG Orthopaedics, developing, implementing, evaluating and monitoring policies and procedures, allocation of resources, continuous quality improvement initiatives, educational programs and shared governance/shared leadership councils to achieve departmental and organizational goals and objectives. Must possess exceptional interpersonal, educational and training ability. Must be able to use critical thinking to prioritize needs of clinic, allowing for most efficient clinic flow, and optimal patient experience. Must put the patient first and possess a knowledge that demonstrates ability to utilize community and organizational resources effectively. Must be able to assist in the building of a well-trained, clinically competent, and positive care team to support excellent quality, patient-centered care, and provider efficiency. This position leads by example in delivering on the mission, vision, and values of St. Peter’s Health. Provides direct and indirect clinical care under the supervision of the orthopaedic providers. This position oversees the integration of patient care with various hospital departments, working closely with the Practice Manager of Surgical Specialty Services to provide excellent, quality care. They conduct annual reviews for orthopaedic staff in collaboration with the Practice Manager of Surgical Specialty Services. Facilitates team meetings in collaboration with the Practice Manager and delegates projects to staff as needed. The Supervisor of SPHMG Orthopaedics is the first point of contact for staff and acts as a liaison between medical staff, staff, management, vendors and other medical group practices within the community. They assist the Staffing Supervisor with Kronos, ER call, personal leave, and staffing. The Supervisor of SPHMG Orthopaedics will assist with interviewing department candidates and coordinate orientation process to ensure staff competency and safety. Required to accommodate for and attend 80% of all scheduled meetings.
