About the Role:

The Confluent marketing team is the driving force behind building awareness and generating demand for our cutting-edge software solutions. We are a passionate team of innovators, storytellers, and creative problem-solvers dedicated to showcasing the power of our products. We thrive in a fast-paced environment and embrace the challenge of constantly pushing the boundaries of visual communication.

You will collaborate closely with the Brand, Creative, and Video team, to create impactful work that achieves business objectives. Your role will involve hands-on crafting of projects across various integrated channels, including campaigns, emails, websites, display ads, product UI, and beyond. As a Motion Designer, you’ll utilize a range of applications, such as Figma, Illustrator, After Effects, and Frame.io, along with any 3D (Mac) software that you prefer.

What You Will Do:

• Expand Confluent's brand style and visual language through motion and animation.

• Create animations across various styles, including both 3D and 2D formats.Design storyboards and develop proof of concepts to visualize ideas.

• Transform block diagrams and use cases into engaging visuals that enhance Confluent's storytelling.

• Design and animate graphics packages, transitions, and templates for use by editors and cross-functional teams.

• Create and sustain an animation style guide and systems, while actively seeking opportunities for evolution and improvement.

• Build and maintain a library of animations for consistent use across multiple touchpoints.

• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor branding strategies, and emerging design techniques to keep the brand visually relevant and innovative.

What You Will Bring:

• 5+ years of experience in a motion design role, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of animation styles.

• Maintain design integrity with a keen attention to detail in color theory, typography, and layout.

• Manage time effectively to ensure deadlines and delivery schedules are met.

• Provide regular project status updates to project managers to ensure alignment and transparency.

• Navigate ambiguity and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment, driving the design cycle forward.

• Ensure the highest level of polish and precision in every aspect of your work.

• Act as a self-starter and advocate for your creative decisions, articulating ideas effectively to colleagues and stakeholders.

This position has an annual estimated salary of $156,300- $183,680 and a competitive equity package. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
