Distribution Wildfire Infrastructure Superintendent
Will consider any Division office within Montana service territory - Billings, Bozeman, Butte, Great Falls, Helena or Missoula
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
- Ability to demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple conflicting tasks while managing stressful situations
- Ability to develop and refine effective leadership skills
- Highly organized and able to provide clear direction and expectations to reporting staff
- Proficient with the use of DDS, Microsoft products, Crew Manager, Power Plan and SAP enterprise software
- Ability to spend most job time in office environment, with some exposure to field environment and weather
- Ability to occasionally lift materials up to 35 pounds
- Ability to do statewide travel up to 30% and extended hours
- Ability to pass an employment physical, a drug test and a background check
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within 24 months
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Demonstrate leadership consistent with NorthWestern Energy's code, values, policies, processes and controls
- Utilize effective management practices to maintain employee engagement and productivity
- Effectively manage budget, ensuring proper cost controls
- Lead special projects as required utilizing effective change and project management techniques
- Ensure project compliance, overhead line design approval and oversight of auditable guidelines, policies, practices, organization standards and federal and state government regulations relating to design solutions (NESC and the NEC)
- Receive guidance and oversight from Manager of Central Construction
- Plan, direct and set priorities with reporting staff to ensure timely task completion
- Coordinate construction activities with local division managers to optimize internal crew use and scheduling
- Provide proactive customer project awareness and investigates and resolves customer concerns
- Participate in forecast and management of the capital and expenses budget with emphasis on cost optimization
- Provide training and guidance to internal staff and external contractors as required
- Participate in development and maintenance of an executive management project dashboard
- Conduct quality control visits and assessments
- Adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics
- Ensure self and others actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectives
Full-time position.
$99,300 - $148,000 annually, depending on experience.
