Corning’s Environmental Technologies segment manufactures ceramic substrates and filter products for emissions control in mobile and stationary applications around the world.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Lead/Support new technology migration through equipment installation, debug, process optimization and documentation.

• Interacting with Division and Plant technical resources to exchange and transfer technology of best practices.

• Keep close contact with DivE US, Europe and plant partners for timely communication and issue resolution.

• Develop partnerships with USA & German teams for technology development & fundamental understanding.

• Provide capital project leadership for project with intermediate scope, include but not limited to project planning, resources, AR initiation, spending control, production scale up.

• Design and draw assembly drawings and component drawings and participate in the scheme review of corresponding projects.

• Partner with plant engineering for effective implementation of process or equipment changes.

• Provide higher level engineering support for plant troubleshooting and problem solving.

• Lead or provide appropriate support on equipment issues investigation and analysis, solutions, and permanent corrective actions implementation.

• Work with plant engineering and through them to make continuous improvements and reduce process/equipment variation.

• Build effective relations and interactions with internal/external customers and stakeholders.

• Implementing and enforcing procedures for maintaining a safe work environment.

Education & Experience

• BS/MS degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Automation or equivalent.

• 8+ years’ experience on the position of equipment engineering in manufacturing.

• Track record of performance working in a design company.

• Demonstrated rich experience in non-standard mechanical equipment design.

• Experiences in working with and/or supervising project teams.

• Former experience with involvement in earlier stage innovation programs preferred.

• 3+ years supervisory experience preferred.

Required Skills

• Proficient in mechanical principals, mechanical design, and Equipment engineering.

• Knowledgeable of manufacturing systems and have adequate technical expertise.

• Good 3D design drawing skills, SolidWorks is preferred.

• Strong skills of problem definition and solving.

• Logic thinking and detailed oriented.

• Strong ownership of achieving targets.

• Ability to work under certain pressure, nature of self-oriented and motivated.

• Strong troubleshooting skills.

• Fluent in written and oral English.

• Communication skill.

• Collaborative working attitude.

• Be willing to travel up to 50%.

Desired Skills

• Systematic way of problem solving and decision making.

• Knowledge of data analysis, trouble shooting and root cause finding with data driving.

• Presentation reporting skills.

• Track record of performance working in a multi-national company.
