Dober is seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician for our position in Hazleton, PA.
The Quality Control Laboratory Technician will conduct testing to validate that the products produced and raw materials received by Dober are within the proper specifications, along with ensuring ISO practices are upheld to the highest of quality standards as required by Dober. Additionally, the Technician will be required to maintain process control utilizing established procedures. Further, the Technician will aid in maintaining Dober's quality management system, take part in auditing activities, failure investigations and customer complaints.

Key Responsibilities:
I. Quality Control including:
- Perform Analysis of: Incoming raw materials, pre-mixes, finished goods, and retain management.
- Entering batch records and QC test data into JD Edwards.
- Responsible for the review of production batch paperwork and labels. Also, ensure accurate completion of quality records.
- Preparation of Certificate of Analysis records.
- Responsible for document control of specifications and test methods and changing documents through Dober's change control process.
- Participate and facilitate in failure investigation with the Quality Control and Operations Teams.
- Participate in quality improvements initiatives and meet with Quality Control team to discuss and plan improvements.
- Maintain laboratory supplies and calibration programs.
- Participate in the qualification of new test methods and new products to establish data summaries from new and historical test results.
- Adhere ISO requirements.
- Preparation for and participation in internal and external audits.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of confidential intellectual properties, lab books and other printed information.
- Maintain daily functionality of QC lab and associated equipment.
- Assist in minimizing expired/inactive/out of specification inventory and processing waste dispositions as needed.
Requirements
- Familiarity with chemical safety.
- Experience working with chemicals and/or laboratory setting.
- Work effectively with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Perform light duty work.
- Be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Perform laboratory testing following prescribed procedures.
- Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle failure scenarios.
- Strong communication skills.
- Associate's Degree
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or general quality management systems.
- Efficient in problem solving and failure investigations as well as identifying areas for improvement.
- Experience using an ERP or MRP system program for data entry.
