Our client, a leading autonomous vehicle company, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Equipment and Maintenance Department supporting a dynamic team of engineers and technicians. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Hayward, CA

Pay Range: $30-35/h + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Support the creation and development of preventative maintenance procedures and standards under the supervision of the Equipment and Maintenance Manager.

• Work with equipment vendors to perform major maintenance procedures.

• Perform or manage the maintenance on all vehicle assembly equipment.

• Respond to downtime events, equipment alarms, and production-related support requests.

• Perform root cause analysis on equipment and quality-related issues.

What's Needed?

• 5-7 years working with industrial automation, automotive shop equipment, automotive/aerospace assembly equipment, or equivalent.

• Strong electrical (12VDC to 480VAC) and mechanical knowledge.

• Basic knowledge of robotics, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, vehicle lifts, and DC tooling.

• Good computer skills, with a willingness to learn 3D modeling software.

• Ability to read 2D and 3D prints and schematics.
