Do you have prior experience as a "hands-on" manager leading warehouse operations teams? CORT Furniture Rental, a Berkshire Hathaway company, provides furniture rental solutions to a wide variety of customers in their homes and offices. We're looking for a full-time Distribution Manager to lead our warehouse operations team and ensure that our product meets quality standards and arrives where it needs to.

Pay: $75,000 - $85,000 / year based on experience. This position is also eligible for CORT's Performance Sharing Plan (PSP) bonus plan.

Schedule: Standard is 5:30am, Monday-Friday; some flexibility and Saturdays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for proper staging, loading and unloading of all products. Assures proper preparation of product for shipment through assembly, substitution, loading, unloading, checking and placement back into inventory. Supervises “staging” of product for next day delivery.

• Manage and control the condition and security of inventory including its proper storage, handling, disposal, transferring, cleaning and repairing.

• Responsible for the cleaning, maintenance and security of the warehouse

• Supervise all production/warehouse/distribution employees

• Responsible for insuring accurate and timely cycle counts, as well as other procedural operations to account for inventory

• Ensures that safety standards are adhered to in all areas of the warehouse

• Conducts monthly safety meetings and reports

• Provides other management reports as necessary

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a production or warehouse/distribution manager

• Prior supervisory experience

• Practical knowledge of Lean Six Sigma preffered

• Passion for improvement

• Ability to self-direct and work independently

• Must have valid state driver’s license

• Must have reliable transportation

• Ability to speak, read and write English (bilingual a plus)

• Ability to use PC Systems and software

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Bar Code Systems

• Physically able and willing to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
