Job Description

We are looking for a Certified Welding Inspector to work for a leader in the engineering industry. This person will be responsible for supporting multiple projects across Northern California. Responsibilities will include inspecting structural welding to codes and specifications, as well as print reading and report writing. You will be responsible for documenting defects, as well as tracking and monitoring work to ensure compliance. Communication with an end client will be a requirement, as well as utilization of an IPAD specifically for reporting, timekeeping, etc.

Skills and Requirements

Must have vehicle, will be traveling to multiple sites (federal mileage reimbursement rules)

 Must be comfortable with travel (hotel reimbursement if necessary)

 5+ years experience as a Certified Welding Inspector

 Experience with Nondestructive Testing Methods (NDT) Example: MT/UT/PT

 Experience Inspecting structural welding to codes and specifications (EX: AWS D1.1, D1.8)

 Experience reviewing WPS and PQR

 AWS CWI Certification and NDT Level II in UT and/or MT null
