Job Description:

The Community Service Agency (CSA) is a community-based program that facilitates the coordination of care for youth with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) who require or utilize multiple child or family serving systems.

Family Support and Training is a service that provides a structured strength-based relationship between a Family Partner and a parent/caregiver. Family Partners bring their own lived experience as the parent or guardian of a child/youth with complex emotional, behavioral, or mental health needs. The purpose of this service is to resolve or improve the youth’s emotional and behavioral needs by improving the capacity of the parent /caregiver to parent the youth in order to improve their functioning.

Family Partner's Responsibilities are:

  • Educate parents/ caregivers about how to effectively navigate the child-serving systems for themselves and about the existence of informal/community resources available to them; and facilitates the parent’s/caregiver’s access to these resources.

  • Work one-on-one and team based to maintain regular contact with the parent(s)/caregiver(s).

  • Coordinate and communicate with treatment team members of the youth and families as needed.

  • Complete timely and accurate documentation to reflect services provided.

  • Meet productivity standard for hours worked.

  • Provides transportation to youth and/or family as needed.

  • Build and adjust schedules as necessary to meet the needs of persons served. Some afternoon and evening hours are required based on family availability, no later than 8pm

Qualifications :

  • Lived experience as a parent or caregiver of a child/youth with complex emotional, behavioral, or mental health needs.

  • Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation & willing to transport youth in own vehicle.

  • High school diploma or GED and a minimum of two (2) years of experience working with children/adolescents/transition age youth.

  • Associate’s degree in a human service field from an accredited school and one (1) year of experience working with children/adolescents/transition age youth.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services field from an accredited university and one (1) year of experience working with the target population.

Schedule: Full Time 40 hours per week. M-F
