A Quality Technician is needed for a company that manufactures and sells marking, tracking and computer printing technologies in the Hauppauge, NY area. The Quality Technician ensures product quality by conducting audits, inspections, and investigations into nonconforming materials while supporting process improvements and compliance with quality management systems like ISO 9001.

salary: $18.00 - 18.50 per hour

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

• Responsible for supporting quality assurance (QA) activities to ensure nonconforming products are not produced or shipped.

• Provides inspection support and process improvements to sustain and improve product quality.

• Conducts audits and inspections on product quality according to company QA processes.

• Assists with investigating nonconforming materials and reporting issues to authorized vendors.

• Works with management and team members to address new or complex issues.

• Supports the implementation of new product quality plans.

• Understands technical requirements and delivers output according to learned technical frameworks.

• Supports ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).

Skills:

• Ability to learn technical information.

• Fluent level of English (written and verbal) as well as local language as applicable.

• Beginner level skills in Microsoft business applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.

• Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-task environment Solid professional work behaviors (attendance, teamwork, time management).

Education: High School or equivalent.

Preferred Experience: 0-3 years.
