Requirements:

  • Certification(s) Required: CA is mandatory

  • 12-15 years of experience working on international tax and/or accounting mattersWe have an exciting opportunity to join our global tax team based in Gurgaon, India. This is a new opening for an experienced Manager to support the international markets for tax accounting, compliance & reporting at American Express. The successful candidate will gain experience covering a wide range of international jurisdictions supporting US GAAP tax provisioning, and liaising with a third party provider in connection with local statutory reporting and compliance responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing US tax compliance team on the preparation and review of related US tax forms 5471s, 8858, 8865, 8990, 8991, 8992, 8993.

  • Responsible for the management, monitoring, and review of workpapers supporting the US international calculations for reporting and tax compliance. This includes, but is not limited to Subpart F, FTC, FDII, GILTI.

  • Responsible the management, monitoring, and review of workpapers supporting the US International calculations for reporting and tax compliance.

  • Excellent technical knowledge of US corporate and international taxation is required

  • Experience in Leading various projects and initiatives for Compliance.

  • Looking forward for the Automation opportunities in the existing processes and improving them

  • Build and manage an excellent day to day professional relationship with team and ensuring that all compliances meet the timelines.

  • Apprise the top management on development of tax issues.

  • Ability to effectively communicate key messages to colleagues, business partners, and senior leaders Minimum Qualifications:

  • Certification(s) Required: Graduation from a Reputed Institute / CA is mandatory

  • 10-12 years of experience working on international tax and/or accounting matters

  • Big 4 experience a plus

  • Willingness to work across regions / time zones & build relationships across Finance

  • Excellent MS Excel skills and good MS Office skills (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Strong analytical skills, including a proven ability to translate complex and disparate information into a comprehensive and cohesive conclusion

  • Ability to effectively communicate key messages to colleagues, business partners, and senior leaders

  • Effectively coach, train and develop a team of managers and analysts in all aspects of their role
