Insight Global is seeking a Safety Manager to join a full-service construction and land clearing company located in Harwinton, CT. This role is on-site 5 days a week. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a construction safety capacity. The Safety Manager will support the companys civil and drilling operations throughout the northeast. This position acts as a partner to project teams, supporting them by implementing and monitoring HSE related initiatives and trainings. Selected candidate will support multiple projects and clients, and must manage time and resources efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities also include:

· Conduct Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) trainings and meetings.

· Conduct worksite HSE job site observations to ensure compliance with 29 CFR 1910 & 1926 regulations and company/project requirements, using HSE coaching techniques to correct deficiencies.

· Investigate and analyze hazardous conditions, close calls, and incidents, developing lessons learned and reports.

· Lead/Model/Coach proper techniques for conducting Job Safety Analysis (JSA) Crew Meetings.

· Develop task/situation-specific Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and JSA documents.

· Communicate weekly schedule and activities to the Safety and Health program Director and Project Management.

· Assist in the development of company Policies and Procedures as needed.

· Set up and maintain HSE administrative files.

· Coach and develop Operations and HSE staff.

· Travel required based on project locations and requirements.

· Carry out job duties while maintaining the Supreme values.

· And other duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field

• Experience in a construction safety role

• Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint - Experience in ROW construction, tree clearing, and/or pipeline construction industry is highly desired.

• Effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, to different types of audiences, such as field workers, managers, executives, and clients.

• Competent in conflict and crisis management.

• Proven ability to lead without authority.

• Have the physical ability to walk at least one mile in rugged, sloped terrain and lift 35 pounds unassisted.

• Must be able to travel 50% or more.
