We are offering a role for a HYBRID Staff Accountant at our Hartselle, Alabama location. The role involves various accounting responsibilities, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger keeping, journal entries, and month-end close. The accountant will also be expected to use software like QuickBooks and MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, for billing and analyzing financial statements.

Responsibilities:

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks

• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records

• Maintain the general ledger and make necessary updates

• Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts for monthly or annual closing

• Assist in the month-end closing process

• Utilize QuickBooks for various accounting tasks

• Use MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, for billing and other accounting duties

• Analyze financial statements to identify errors, discrepancies, and areas for improvement

• Prepare profit and loss statements

• Ensure compliance with all internal processes and legal requirements.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations

• Expertise in performing Bank Reconciliations on a regular basis

• Understanding and experience with General Ledger maintenance

• Ability to make accurate Journal Entries and adjustments

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks

• Familiarity with MS Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel

• Experience in managing Billing processes and transactions

• Ability to Analyze Financial Statements for accuracy and insights

• Experience in preparing Financial Statements in compliance with accounting standards

• Understanding of Profit and Loss statements and their implications.
