Description:

Position Purpose

We are the entrance into the CJRI/Spine surgery world. We work very close with offices, patients and staff to get our patients surgery scheduled and then gather all the paperwork to get then cleared.

Schedule Surgery from booking sheet, call patients to schedule & Peri-op appointments, Gather needed paperwork, lots of scanning.

What you will do

  • Schedule surgical cases: process includes obtaining accurate procedure, demographic and insurance information

  • Support PASS nurses as needed with administrative tasks

  • Obtain medical documents and/or assuring patient records are prepared in a timely manner

  • Perform OR charge reconciliation and prompt follow-up to assure timely release of bill

  • Manage all forms and references for physician offices and assure ISO compliance of records

  • Visits all new surgeon offices and provides them with orientation to our unit

  • This person plays a key role in ensuring all customer requests and issues are processed efficiently and expeditiously. Escalating concerns as needed to appropriate person.

  • Scanning of documents

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Graduate; Associates preferred

  • 1-3 years Healthcare office experience. Medical terminology preferred.
