The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services

RTX launched oneRTX focused on leveraging the scale of our three business units to improve collaboration, cost structure, productivity and performance. This will include several major, multi-year initiatives that align to our goals as a company and optimize how we work, operate and deliver to our customers to achieve our full potential. With processes optimized and harmonized, will reduce cost, effort and improve performance as we break down silos and establish consistent ways of working.

The oneRTX: PST project goals are to harmonize key business processes, associated tools and metrics across RTX, while deploying a common enterprise resource management platform – SAP’s S4 HANA. The result will be a common user experience across the businesses, real-time visibility into critical data, and automation of manual tasks to enable all employees to focus on value-add activities.

The strategic definition and design phase has primarily concluded and is now entering the initial blueprinting, build and support phases. oneRTX: PST project hubs are based out of Farmington, CT and Dallas, TX with Integration Workshops planned to be executed in Tucson, Tewksbury, East Hartford, Montreal, Cedar Rapids, and Charlotte. Travel will be required based on proximity to hub and frequency of workshops.

The Record to Report (R2R) value stream is the information network of our company. Within R2R, we capture and organize financial data, enable planning and risk mitigation, ensure the financial health of the enterprise, and provide metrics and financial analysis to decision-makers in the Company. R2R includes a large portion of the finance organization including Accounting & Controllership, Financial Planning, Tax, and Treasury functions. Within the R2R value stream, our project is organized into three towers: Accounting, Costing, and Functional.

What You Will Do:

The Sr Manager, Intercompany Lead Support will work collaboratively across the Workstreams and in direct support of their Workstream.

Responsibilities include:

  • Represent RTX in the design of intra/intercompany process that enables RTX to operate with more common, collaborative, and interoperable processes & systems.

  • Ensure alignment & coordinate application of the RTX intercompany processes across Raytheon, Pratt, & Collins business units, ensuring alignment and consistency in processes and practices across the intercompany lifecycle from internal contracting through accounting reconciliation and settlement.

  • Contribute to development and validation of our future common information model including, trading partners, intercompany customers & vendors.

  • Influence RTX key decision-makers on critical system design to shape the Company’s overall approach to financial operations.

  • Engage with RTX’s system integration partner, leading system blueprint and design sessions to ensure the accounting and finance processes are fully integrated with broader systems and tools.

  • Partner with RTX Intercompany Lead, Enterprise Services Accounting, Tax, and Government Accounting on development of future state process improvements.

  • Travel 20-40%

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years Accounting or Finance related experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of Accounting or Finance related experience

  • Experience with aerospace and defense industry and the R2R value stream finance functions, with a focus on finance and accounting processes.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • ERP Experience: Knowledge of ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and their impact on business processes.

  • Specific Process Workstream Knowledge: Experience across the full lifecycle of Intercompany. Awareness to business processes in contracting, transferring product and services, billing requirements, and account reconciliation steps.

  • Record to Report: Knowledge of financial processes such as Accounting, Financial Reporting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Tax & Treasury

  • Leadership: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus at all levels of the organization.

  • Organizational Agility: Experience working with a large, complex business environment with multiple landscapes, cultures and customers

  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and compelling way.

  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks and develop solutions in response to change-related challenges.

  • Innovation: Experience navigating through ambiguity, leveraging critical thinking skills and creativity to address challenges with innovative solutions

  • Project Management: Experience with project management tools and methodologies, particularly agile frameworks/iterative approaches to software development and implementation projects, with the ability to integrate change management with broader project timelines and objectives.

  • CORE: Experience utilizing the CORE operating system to assess, plan and execute on team and project requirements.

  • Business Tools: Experience with MS Application Suite (Access, Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and other applicable business software

  • Lead and manage change under the oneRTX vision of improving collaboration, commonality, and interoperability.

  • Experience working in a matrix and team environment and collaborate across lines of business and functions.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, demanding environment - both virtually and in-person.

  • Experience participating on large, complex A&D enterprise projects -- or similarly regulated large organization and the R2R value stream finance functions, with a focus on accounting and finance processes.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
