The Hartford is seeking a highly skilled Senior Collaboration Technology Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining collaboration technology solutions to enhance collaboration and productivity across the organization as well as providing engineering guidance to L1 & L2 support staff. The candidate will lead the drive toward a detailed understanding of how customers use our products and services and have a natural customer service motivated support delivery posture. The candidate will oversee the comprehensive process of Teams change evaluation, strategizing, and implementation. They will collaborate with business units to enhance workflows and will develop video and content delivery technologies to boost enterprise-wide engagement.

This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in an office location 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy Microsoft Teams architecture, ensuring seamless integration with other Microsoft 365 services.

  • Develop and implement strategies for integrating Copilot features into Microsoft Teams, improving efficiency and automation.

  • Provide technical expertise and support for Microsoft Teams, including troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.

  • Design testing scenarios of new engineered solutions and services.

  • Support business projects and L1 & L2 support staff.

  • Oversee the reporting of adoption and usage of newly created collaboration services.

  • Review and oversee the updates to service documentation for users, L1 & L2 support staff, and automated self-service bots.

  • Monitor services and dashboards to identify trends and opportunities for further proactive support.

  • Lead research efforts to multi-service technical issues and installation/configuration efforts to services and software.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align Microsoft Teams solutions with business requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices for communication and collaboration tools.

  • Partner with OCM (Organizational Change Management) in the design of training sessions and documentation to assist users in maximizing the benefits of Microsoft Teams.

  • Provide technical support and training for Copilot and other AI tools within the Teams environment.

  • Stay current with the latest Microsoft Teams features and updates and recommend improvements to internal processes.

  • Lead the Microsoft Teams change management program, working with stakeholders to drive awareness of upcoming changes and providing validation for functionality and security/compliance prior to implementation.

  • Lead the development and implementation of M365-based video technology such as Teams Town Halls and Microsoft Stream for improved customer experience.

  • Utilize eCDN technology with peer to peer sharing to optimize content delivery and reduce network load.

  • Apply the automation capabilities inherent in M365 to assist with the automation of provisioning, reporting and support activities.

  • Work with service suppliers and vendors to ensure stability of Collaboration services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Proven experience in in a Microsoft Systems Engineering role within a high-paced IT environment, preferably with financial institution experience.

  • 2+ years of experience engineering, managing and supporting Microsoft Teams in a large enterprise (20,000+ employees).

  • 3+ years of experience managing and supporting Microsoft Office 365 platforms.

  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies, particularly Azure and AWS IAM.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$113,520 - $170,280
