POSITION DUTIES:
Provide timely, appropriate and comprehensive medical services to children/adolescents patients, including performing psychiatric evaluations and developing appropriate disposition/treatment plans in collaboration with team members. Collaborate with other pediatric subspecialists and outside providers as necessary. Maintain a schedule that is consistent with appropriate patient care and record keeping duties. Collaborate with the unit manager regarding program planning, departmental committee assignments as appropriate, teaching residents and others as appropriate. May provide coverage and/or other responsibilities in other clinical areas in the Child and Adolescent Services. Share on-call responsibilities equally with the Child/Adolescent Psychiatry Medical Staff and attend the monthly Department of Psychiatry Medical Staff meeting. Participate in call coverage for patients. Engage in mentorship and growth in accordance with your career aspirations and interests, particularly in the area of psychiatric education and teaching.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Position requires M.D. or D.O. (or foreign equivalent of M.D. or D.O.); Completion of Medical Residency in Psychiatry; Completion of Medical Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry; Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Psychiatry; and Connecticut Physician License.
