Actalent Pharmacist in Hartford, Connecticut

Job Title: Pharmacy ManagerJob Description

This full-time position requires working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. There is an option to work from home one day every other week. The pharmacy manager will be responsible for overseeing pharmacists and ensuring quality clinical care and regulatory compliance.

Hard Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required

  • Five to 10 years in a hospital pharmacy, including supervisory responsibility and pediatric experience

  • Hospital Residency training preferred

  • Master’s degree in management-related field preferred

Soft Skills

  • Establishes and communicates a clear vision for pharmacist staff

  • Fosters staff growth and development both professionally and personally

  • Engages team members with organizational initiatives such as cultivating departmental diversity, equity, and inclusion

  • Creates a culture of respect and being an ally

  • Establishes and implements short- and long-term goals and supporting clinical objectives, policies, processes, and operating procedures

  • Monitors and evaluates pharmacist interventions and other measures of clinical effectiveness

  • Provides support, guidance, and direction to pharmacy team and ancillary support services

  • Promotes the values of the organization and facilitates teamwork and cooperation among staff

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Hartford, Connecticut.

Work Environment

The role involves working in a hospital setting with the flexibility of working from home one day every other week.
