The Role

As a Manager Network Planning you will manage a team of engineers and project managers that engineer and implement critical systems projects. These projects include managing facility construction projects as well as the installation of assets housed within network facilities that include DC batteries, rectifiers, generators, HVAC systems, and power systems. As manager of this team it will be a requirement to have the technical knowledge and engineering background with experience in critical systems.

Location

This position is fully remote work from home within the US.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Manage team of engineers that implement critical system projects (upgrades, expansions, and replacements)

  • Extensive knowledge of DC power, AC power, and HVAC systems.

  • Simplify complicated network planning and operations disciplines into simple business management actionability.

  • Drive business insights through a data analysis, synthesizing conclusions into operational strategies and improvements.

  • Partner across multiple organizations to achieve organizational goals.

  • Responsible for talent development through empowerment, driving a “culture of learning”, and actively engaging in employee’s development opportunities.

  • Instill a culture of accountability (See it, Own it, Solve it, Do it!).

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, timelines, and overall execution plans.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.

  • Extensive knowledge of DC power, AC power, and HVAC systems.

  • 5+ years of experience in managing a team in the construction environment or critical systems upgrades (batteries, generators, HVAC systems, and power systems).

  • Capability of understanding and communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical individuals.

  • Understand how to drive decision making through data analytics.

  • Create executive level content to communicate key strategies and business observations.

  • Experience leading people in an individual or front-line leadership capacity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of networking technologies and architectures.

  • Good knowledge of financial and accounting principles and processes.

  • Ability to problem solve and work effectively in complex, ambiguous situations.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.

  • Operate consistently with a sense of urgency and a ‘can-do’ attitude.

  • Demonstrate excellent problem solving, negotiating, conflict management and decision-making skills.

  • Proven track record of driving productivity while maintaining or increasing quality.

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$103,711 - $138,281 in these states: AL AR AZ FL GA IA ID IN KS KY LA ME MO MS MT ND NE NM OH OK PA SC SD TN UT VT WI WV WY

$108,896 - $145,195 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI

$114,082 - $152,109 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA
