Compensation: Dependent on Experience (Up to $118,000)

About the Company:
Our client, a well-established legal services provider in Hartford, CT, is seeking a Legal Billing Manager to join their team. This is a permanent, full-time position with a hybrid work model. The Legal Billing Manager will be responsible for overseeing billing functions and managing a small team while maintaining a hands-on approach to day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and lead the billing department to ensure accurate, timely invoicing and compliance with billing guidelines.
Provide leadership, training, and mentoring to a small team of billing staff.
Oversee all aspects of legal billing, including billing adjustments, report generation, and issue resolution.
Develop and implement improvements to billing processes and systems.
Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and finance teams to ensure efficient billing operations.
Analyze billing data and identify trends to improve revenue cycle management.
Stay current on industry trends and ensure the team is aligned with best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Leadership Experience: 3+ years in a leadership capacity, preferably within a legal or billing environment.
Legal Billing Experience: 5+ years of recent, hands-on experience in legal billing.
Excel Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel
Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior leaders and staff.
