Description:

Come join the Engineering team at Saint Francis Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England! We are a member of the nationwide Trinity Health family, bringing compassionate care to our communities.

Position Purpose :

Performs a variety of duties in and around the buildings of the Hospital complex maintaining and repairing machinery, systems and mechanical equipment, boilers, heating and ventilation equipment, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Services , Operates and Maintains the PEVCO and Honeywell Control Systems.

  • Assists in installing, operating, maintaining and repairing all Hospital mechanical systems and equipment.

  • Maintains commitment to personal growth and competency.

  • Contributes to the safe operation of the Plant and Engineering Department.

  • Contributes to the efficient operation of the department.

  • Contributes to the effective operations of the Hospital by demonstrating dependability in job performance.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Education: Two-year apprenticeship program or Equivalent

  • Experience: 3-5 Years

  • Licensure: D-2 License (minimum)

Physical and Mental Effort:

Physical effort is required. Some lifting is involved. Work positions include standing, kneeling and climbing. Moderate stress encountered in emergency situations. Position requires ability to frequently push/pull/lift objects, pre than 100 lbs., perform difficult manipulative, gross body and hand-eye coordination skills; bend, walk, stand and sit for prolonged periods; see objects closely and hear normal sounds with some background noises.
