JOB OPPORTUNITY: Hospitalist Hartford HealthCare Medical Group, Inc. (“HHCMG”) seeks a full-time Hospitalist at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT to: provide comprehensive clinical care to adult inpatients with diseases and injuries admitted to or being consulted on by hospital medicine services; admit patients under hospital patient acceptance policy; deliver documentation in the written and electronic record consistent with the hospital’s ongoing clinical documentation and quality metric programs; work with emergency department physicians to assure effective communication and transition of patients and with specialty services to assure highest quality of care and consultation to and from other specialty services; work with referring physicians from the community to optimize patient care; help develop new systems to achieve highest measures of care quality and resource utilization; provide leadership in committees, task forces and other areas related to inpatient care and patient transition; attend regularly scheduled meetings related to hospital medicine. Works hybrid schedule of approximately 50% day shifts and 50% night shifts. The minimum requirements for the Hospitalist Physician position are: a U.S. M.D. or D.O. degree or its foreign equivalent; completion of a three-year residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine; board eligibility or certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine; the possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Connecticut medical license; and willingness to work a hybrid schedule of approximately 50% day shifts and 50% night shifts.
