For more information, visit SolomonEdwards Position Summary: The Commercial Loan Booking Analyst is responsible for receiving loans from Loan Closers and accurately boarding them to the AFS Level III system. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial loan structures, documentation, and repayment terms to ensure accurate loan setup and compliance with internal policies. • This is contract work to run for 4 months with the possibility to extend. • 100% Remote • AFS Level III experience. Essential Duties: • Analyze commercial loan documents, including loan approvals, promissory notes, and credit agreements, to identify repayment terms, fees, and other key details. • Independently review and process loan transactions, including new loans, renewals, payments, rate changes, repricing, advances, fees, and DDA transactions. • Accurately board loans into AFS Level III, ensuring alignment with repayment structures, rate schedules, and fee schedules. • Reconcile new and existing loan balances, fee transactions, and funds flow documentation to validate financial structures. • Handle multiple commercial loan types, including bilateral, participations, syndications, swinglines, and letters of credit. • Ensure compliance with company credit policy and departmental procedures during the loan boarding process. • Collaborate with loan closing officers, relationship managers, lending assistants, and administrative staff to resolve booking discrepancies and exceptions. • Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding booking questions, disputes, and documentation resolution. Qualifications: • Proficiency with AFS Level III loan servicing system. • 3 years of experience in a bank or financial services, 2 years of accounting or cash/expense balancing experience, 1 years of loan servicing experience. AFS Level III experience. • Strong knowledge of commercial loan structures, including bilateral, non-performing, non-standard, participations, syndications, and letters of credit. • Experience with loan boarding processes, including the use of loan agreements and boarding summary sheets. • Familiarity with financial reconciliation, rate schedules, and fee structures. • Experience working with non-standard and non-performing loans. • Previous experience in loan boarding, servicing, or similar roles. • Ability to troubleshoot discrepancies and proactively resolve booking exceptions. Skills and Job-Specific Competencies: • Ability to analyze and interpret complex commercial loan documentation. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy and quality standards. • Proficiency with systems such as Filenet, MS Access, and other loan processing tools. • Effective communication and problem-solving skills. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to, education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training.
