The Opportunity

The Escheatment Program Manager/Sr. Analyst position is to be the process subject matter expert on all procedures, regulations and guidelines for the Ally Bank Deposit Operations functions related to the escheatment of Unclaimed Property. This role will work in tandem with the team Sr. Supervisor, Director, along with, Compliance, Legal and the external vendor to ensure all procedures adhere to the state laws and reporting requirements of Unclaimed Property, including developing and implementing operations’ procedures, planning, testing, implementation and ticket resolution.

Ally work locations are Fort Washington PA or Lewisville TX - in office role with hybrid schedule

The Work Itself

  • Responsible for the oversight and expertise of unclaimed property processing both internally and through the Bank’s vendors/partners.
  • Subject matter expert on state escheatment/unclaimed property laws
  • Assist with timely and accurate reporting of Unclaimed Property for Ally Bank through close coordination with the external vendor and Sr. Supervisor.
  • Provide direction on unclaimed property and associated processes including dormant accounts and customer/deposit retention.
  • Monitor all reporting, controls, and service level agreements related to the processing of unclaimed property.
  • Work in conjunction with the Sr. Supervisor to ensure that Deposit Operations procedures are current, accurate and meet legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identifies controls and assesses level of risk and proposes solutions.
  • Evaluate the quality and efficiency of the function through the use of personnel observation, quality review and data analysis and develops corrective plans as needed.
  • Develop and present periodic status reports to management; prepare quantitative and qualitative reports.
  • Lead research and provide recommendations on operational initiatives and improvements.
  • Develop Business Requirements to lead operational initiatives and enhancements. Works with the Project Delivery Team to ensure that projects follow the proper governance procedures.
  • Coordinate and participate in review sessions with business partners as needed to ensure requirements meet business, legal, compliance and bank operations objectives/governance.

The Skills You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in banking, unclaimed property escheatment or legal research environment
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the policies, procedures and state law requirements of Unclaimed Property preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of banking concepts, rules and regulations
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively process diverse workloads concurrently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively on recommendations and analysis results, and establish and maintain strong relationships across the organization and with external partners.
  • Advanced proficiency in Windows-based PC skills and Microsoft Office
  • Participation in industry organizations (i.e. NAUPA, UPPO) to maintain and broaden knowledge base preferred.
  • Experience working within service standards.
  • Ability to work within the organizational structure of Ally, its outsourced partnerships and the business functions performed.

Base Pay Range:

Emerging: 70000

Experienced: 85000

Expert: 100000

Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan
