Sargent & Lundy Project Engineer/Site Lead - Nuclear Projects in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
Description
Responsibilities include:
Manage and lead a team of talented staff members to ensure successful completion of engineering project deliverables to meet all technical, quality, financial and project controls expectations, including:
Conveying scope of work to team members
Controlling changes in scope
Status and tracking progress of project scope/schedule/budget
Maintaining clear and consistent exchanges of information between client and team members
Leading routine status meetings both internal team members and client
Tracking and resolving open items and emergent project issues
Interface with the client managers, stakeholders, and implementing personnel to validate scope and ensure client satisfaction
Identify and follow up on client needs that may result in strategic business opportunities
Leverage good client relationships to develop follow-on work from existing clients
Assist in the development of project scope, cost estimates, and schedules for complex modifications at nuclear power plants
Assist in the Development of proposals for Engineering modifications at nuclear power plants
Qualifications

Essential skills and experience:
An Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program
Effective written and verbal communication skills to convey information to project team members and client
Ten or more years of experience in the design of engineering systems for nuclear power plants
Five or more years experience in leading an engineering design team through all phases of a project design
Experience with serving as firm/client liaison in a support or lead engineering role
Proficiency with MS Office applications
Detail oriented approach to work
Capable of being badged for unescorted access to a nuclear station
