DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform skilled, semi-skilled, and lead work duties in grounds keeping, landscaping, and in the installation, repair, and maintenance of various mechanical systems, machinery, controls, equipment, and structures located at the Governor's Residence.  Specific duties may include minor maintenance repairs involving electrical, plumbing, painting, and masonry, and general carpentry work in the alteration, repair, and maintenance of buildings, floors, doors, doorframes, wood fixtures, and furniture.  You may provide periodic maintenance on household appliances, as well as major cleaning duties such as buffing floors, cleaning lights and chandeliers, ensuring lawn and garden upkeep, and providing assistance with events.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. The employee in this position may be required to work different shifts to accommodate the needs of the First Family. This position is considered essential, meaning you may be required to report to work during emergencies and office closings. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Necessary Special Requirement: You must possess a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
