Reference #: 4555025 THE POSITION Do you value the critical role of supported employment and supported education for individuals with mental health diagnoses, and have a passion for advancing employment? The Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services' (OMHSAS) Bureau of Policy, Planning, and Program Development is seeking a dedicated professional to advance Pennsylvania's access to supported employment and supported education for those individuals with mental health diagnoses. This professional would be advancing the workforce for those with mental illness. We are seeking an individual with excellent writing skills, critical thinking, and evaluation experience, as well as a detail-oriented individual with the ability to work collaboratively. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will serve as the lead policy and program development specialist for Supported Employment, Supported Education, and workforce development. You will have an opportunity to participate in the development of employment-related policies and services to benefit individuals with serious mental illness and serious emotional disturbance. You will also provide support to county mental health programs and providers for the development of a broad array of evidence-based employment options, including transforming existing employment and new employment development.

In addition, you will coordinate support and technical assistance for the development of recovery-oriented rehabilitative approaches, as well as review, analyze, and monitor the supported employment component of county plans by utilizing data to provide fiscal and programmatic recommendations to the OMHSAS management team. You will also develop and manage data collection surveys to counties and providers related to employment efforts, successes, barriers, and problems.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time with a minimum of one day per month in the office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three years of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating a human service program, and a bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
