DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Fiscal Management Specialist 4, you will be responsible for managing the Department's multiple funding streams along with completing budgets, overseeing various fiscal functions, and grant management. This includes preparing the Department's Annual Budget, Rebudget, and Legislative Budget. You will also prepare annual spending plans for all departmental program areas and individual budgets for all 29 licensing boards and commissions within the Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs (BPOA). Work involves directly supervising a staff of six fiscal and accounting professionals and is essential for ensuring sufficient revenue to cover departmental expenses, planning year-end closing, and overseeing grant spending and reporting. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Fiscal Management Specialist 3; or Three years of experience in professional fiscal administration, and a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
