Robert Half Entry Level Accountant in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

Description

DEF Enterprises is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's receivables, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.

  • Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data.

  • Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits.

  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

  • Verify discrepancies and resolve clients' billing issues.

  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.

  • Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.

  • Monitor and manage the aging of accounts receivable to ensure timely collections.

  • Assist with month-end closing processes and preparation of reports.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely billing and collections.

  • Maintain and update customer files and records.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or similar role.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
