National Dentex Dental Lab Technician I (Dentures) in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

Description

We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 50 labs throughout the country. Our team is growing, and we are hiring a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity for a Dental Lab Technician at NDX Muth Mumma Dental Lab in Harrisburg, PA.

The regular hours for this position are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and subject to change as needed.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist.

  • Break processed removable restorations out of flasks and match back to the correct case pan.

  • Remove excess acrylic flash using burs and or cutting wheels

  • Remove excess acrylic from metal areas of partial dentures and from teeth

  • Add final anatomy to present an aesthetic appearance and good function

  • Seat back to models to check for correct fit, adjust if necessary. If need to have partial clasps adjusted for correct fit, take to the appropriate person

  • Repair any areas of the acrylic that have holes, porosity, or scarring using cold cure acrylic technique

  • Final polish using pumice and high shine materials

  • Bag dentures and put number of case on the bag before replacing in the correct pan

  • Bite Blocks

  • Custom Trays

  • Essix

  • Soft biteguards

  • Relines / Repairs

  • Clear match

  • Maintain a clean work area

  • All other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English

  • Excellent eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity

  • Detail oriented

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

  • Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Meet and sustain production

Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used:

  • Small machinery

  • Hand-pieces

  • Chemicals

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
