DESCRIPTION OF WORK The REAL ID Bureau evaluates documents to confirm that those submitted for a Real ID meet the necessary laws, policies, and guidelines. In this role, you will also support other teams by examining driver license records and microfilm to assess REAL ID eligibility and consistency. Your responsibilities include reviewing identity and residency documents to ensure they align with the standards set by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and other relevant departments. The documents you will check include birth certificates, U.S. citizenship certificates, naturalization certificates, U.S. Passports, adoption papers, court orders, marriage certificates, and various immigration documents.

Your review process will involve verifying that all documents are valid, properly signed, and certified by the right authorities, ensuring that any special requirements for REAL ID approval are fulfilled. This position requires analyzing complex situations and applying knowledge of the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code, REAL ID ACT, and DHS regulations. Strong reading and analytical skills, along with attention to detail, are essential, as you will handle personally identifiable information to determine REAL ID eligibility, review identification histories, detect potential fraud, and correct any errors in records. You will also review documentation for customers opting out of the REAL ID program and ensure all necessary steps are taken to complete the process.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
