Reference #: 4624819 THE POSITION The PA Department of Transportation, Bureau of Driver Licensing has a vacancy for a Clerical Assistant 2. This position is responsible for processing assigned Ignition Interlock Limited License (IILL) petitions for customers under suspension and/or revocation, as well as any restoration work.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK Responsibilities of this position include the following: Performs data entry of IILL petitions and various types of other restoration work received in the unit. Updates Pennsylvania driver records by processing forms, statements, and other documents, received through the mail from customers whose driving privilege are suspended, revoked, cancelled or disqualified. Maintains an accurate log of work received. Mail work is to be logged in to the unit and distributed to the staff in WID sequence for processing; all other work is distributed by priority. Complies with all aspects of the Fee Waiver Guidelines and ensures the correct fee waiver codes are used and properly documented whenever a fee waiver is necessary to process a transaction. Ensures all fees received within the unit are accounted for and processed within the appropriate time frame, meeting the established turn-around-times. Ensures all fees not intended for the unit are delivered to the appropriate unit on a daily basis. Receives license products from sanctioned drivers, maintains accurate records of the products in a secure filing system and returns products to customers with correspondence when their sanctions have been completed and their driving privileges are restored. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 75 hours per pay. Work hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch. Occasional mandatory and/or voluntary overtime as needed. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements: This position requires the selected candidate to undergo and pass a Fingerprint and Name-Based Criminal History Check prior to employment.
