DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Child Support Enforcement Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and ensuring the overall effectiveness of the Child Support Enforcement Program on an on-going basis. In this role, you will establish and maintain effective liaison interfaces with the local Title IV-D domestic relations sections, the local Title IV-A county assistance offices, children and youth services offices, and both intra- and inter-state entities to coordinate case activity, mediate disputes, foster program compliance, optimize collections, and promote self-sufficiency of families. This position is primarily assigned to serve families in Cumberland, Dauphin, Juniata, Mifflin, Perry, Snyder, and Union counties. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Home Headquartered: This is a home headquartered position which will require you to travel to Cumberland, Dauphin, Juniata, Mifflin, Perry, Snyder, and Union counties.  You must reside in or be willing to relocate to one of these counties by the start of employment.  In order to work from home (telework), you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the department office within the listed counties that is closest to your residence. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Four years of experience in a domestic relations office which included the interpretation, application and explanation of policies and regulations and analysis of information; or A bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training including one year in a domestic relations office which included the interpretation, application and explanation of policies and regulations and analysis of information Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

You must live in or be willing to relocate to one of the counties of primary assignment: Cumberland Dauphin, Juniata, Mifflin, Perry, Snyder and Union. You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: This position will have access to Federal Tax Information (FTI) and is subject to the provisions of IRS Publication 1075 (Pub 1075) which requires you to pass an enhanced background check prior to beginning employment. Under Pub 1075, acceptance of a conditional offer of employment will require submission to and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to: a fingerprint-based federal records check; a PA State Police clearance; a check of local law enforcement agencies where you have lived, worked, and/or attended school within the last five (5) years; and a citizenship/residency verification.
