In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and assessing data obtained from laboratory equipment. A strong understanding and expertise in standard laboratory protocols are essential. You will independently assess and interpret data concerning recovery rates, precision, and accuracy, ensuring meticulous documentation in comprehensive laboratory notebooks. Additionally, you will be tasked with logging and calculating the data values for all incoming radioactive standards, as well as performing necessary calculations and recording disposal values for these standards. It is crucial to dispose of radioactive materials and samples with elevated levels in accordance with relevant federal and state regulations. You will also need to organize samples upon receipt to facilitate efficient and timely processing and analysis. Furthermore, you will prepare essential reagents, standards, spikes, and other quality control samples required for thorough analysis.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time on an ad-hoc basis. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Chemist 1; or One year of professional chemical analytical experience, and a bachelor's degree that includes 30 credits in chemistry or biochemistry; or A graduate degree in chemistry. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
